the sys method.

The SYS Method brings confidence, responsible decision making, and self discovery through personal style. The best way to accomplish these three goals is to start by cleansing the wardrobe. SYS’s mission is to bridge the gap between wellness and personal style. We do this by teaching clients how to shop for clothes like they would for a healthy diet: the aim is to prioritize quality over quantity while mixing in ethically made products. By leaning into minimalist philosophies, clients are able to rediscover their personal style and fall in love with the ease of shopping. The SYS Method is made up of three phases:

  • REDUCE.

While detoxing the wardrobe, we incorporate SYS’s three foundational pillars of Psychology, Sustainability, and Identity to best understand ones current wardrobe health. Piece by piece, we will discuss, try on, and evaluate each article of clothing to peel back the layers and uncover each client’s style story. This results in saying goodbye to items that are no longer of service, and in turn creates the foundation of a Streamlined Style.

  • RETRAIN.

While living with less, we provide an intimate, 1:1 coaching style approach, where we leverage psychology-based tools and mindfulness practices. This provides the opportunity for clients to reflect on their current consumption habits and style identity. The key to retraining lies in the absence of shopping. At this point, clients are guided in the acknowledgement of their emotional responses to living with less.

  • REFRAME.

This final phase of the SYS Method concludes with a newfound outlook on the components of a healthy wardrobe. With the help of an individualized SYS Analysis, clients are empowered to shop with confidence, create outfits with ease, and experience the benefits of mindful living. Upon the completion of this phase, our SYSTERS have successfully bridged the gap between their wellness and personal style.

Discover The Ideal Closet Ratio

The ideal closet ratio refers to the balance of staple pieces, statement pieces, and accessories in your wardrobe. A balanced closet will typically consist of a mix of basic, versatile items that can be easily mixed and matched, as well as a few statement pieces and accessories that add personality and flair to your outfits.

Many people tend to lack certain types of pieces in their closets, which can make it difficult to create cohesive and Streamlined outfits. To create a well-balanced closet, we will assess your current wardrobe and identify any gaps or areas where you may be lacking certain types of pieces. From there, we will create a shopping list of items to help fill those gaps and create a more cohesive and functional wardrobe.

bridging the gap between wellness and personal style

SYS focuses on both the practical and psychological aspects of building a minimalist, sustainable wardrobe.

While many wardrobe consulting businesses may focus solely on style and fashion trends, we believe that incorporating psychology into our services sets us apart and allows us to provide a more holistic and transformative experience for our clients.

Incorporating psychological principles into our consulting services allows us to help our clients not just on a superficial level, but on a deeper, more meaningful level as well. By guiding them through the process of identifying and letting go of items that no longer serve them, we can help them to release negative emotions and mindset blocks that may have been holding them back.

There is a growing demand for minimalist, sustainable fashion among consumers, as people become more aware of the environmental and social impacts of fast fashion. According to a report by the Global Fashion Agenda, nearly 75% of consumers believe that brands should be more responsible for the environmental impact of their products. In addition, the trend towards minimalism and simplifying one's possessions has gained popularity in recent years, with books such as "The Life-Changing Magic of Tidying Up" and "Essentialism" becoming bestsellers.

Streamline Your Style will work with individuals who are interested in building a wardrobe that aligns with their personal values and lifestyle. Whether it’s learning about sustainable fashion brands, learning how to build a capsule wardrobe, or finding the best solutions to upkeep the quality of their current clothes, SYS aims to help those who are looking to save money and reduce their environmental impact through their fashion choices.
